Dear diary…

Today was… Interesting. Let me explain, since it’s not every day you see your best guy friend turned into a girl right before your eyes.

It happened during the last period of the day. P.E. I was bored. Don’t get me wrong, I consider myself to be a very sporty girl, but it had to have been the seventh time in a row they called free day where all the boys play basketball and the girls bat the volleyball to each other. I seriously hate that.

So like I was saying my friend Matthew was walking around the gym in a circle, just like usual. He really doesn’t do sports; he’s kind of a nerd, and not many people get that at our school where the majority of people are on at least one or two sports teams.

Me? I was sitting by one of the walls with my friend Erin. We were talking about if we wanted to go out this weekend and what we would do, but then Matthew passed by and said hey. We said hey back, and when he walked out of earshot Erin told me, “He looks upset.”

“He’s probably just bored,” I replied. “You know he doesn’t like sports.”

“Yeah, but he really doesn’t have any friends.”

“Hey!” I snapped. “I’m his friend.”

“Then maybe we should hang out with him,” Erin replied. So as he walked by again we motioned for him to sit with us.

“What’s up girls?” he said.

“Not much,” I replied. “We just thought you looked lonely out there.”

“Yeah, I kinda am,” he responded, acting nonchalant about it.

Erin giggled a little. “What’s the matter?”

“Well, really, you nailed it with the lonely part. You two are nice to me, but everyone else seems to avoid me just because I play online fantasy games with my friends from California rather than play sports.”

“Aw,” I said. “That’s terrible.”

“Yeah, not everyone gets me.”

“Hey, uh, sorry for pointing this out,” Erin said, “but if Mr. Howard sees us, he’ll punish us for talking rather than exercising.”

“Ah, good point!” Matthew said. “I’ll just get back to walking then…”

“No!” I cried out, maybe a little louder than I would have liked. “I have an idea. Let’s sneak into the locker room; he won’t look in there.”

“You mean the girls’ locker room?” Matthew asked. “I’m not allowed in there.”

“Oh don’t chicken out now,” Erin said. “It’s a good idea. We have about fifteen minutes left, and you have a watch on. Just get out five minutes before Mr. Howard blows the whistle. I’ll cover you.”

“Really?” he said doubtfully. “I still don’t know about this.”

We didn’t listen. We grabbed his wrist and drug him into the girls’ locker room. “Okay, we’re in here,” Erin said. “Now what?”

“Well, I suppose we just talk now…” I said.

“What? We’re in the locker room; we should do something crazy!”

“Uh, I’m fine with just talking,” Matthew said, but Erin dashed to her purse.

“Listen, I think it would be fun if we painted your nails,” she said. “I keep a spare thing of it just in case.”

“Are you serious?” I exclaimed.

“Uh, yeah?” Erin said, looking at me like I was stupid. “Matthew are you okay with this?”

“Eh sure, why not?”

“What?” I exclaimed again. “Do you know you just signed a contract with Erin the devil?”

“I think it would be interesting,” he said. “I can just remove it at home anyway. My mom has nail polish remover.”

“Score!” Erin said excitedly. “How’s pink?”

“Pink is fine,” Matthew said, and Erin went straight to work.

“I have a bad feeling about this,” I said, but Erin ignored me.

“And… done!” she happily exclaimed.

“That was fast,” I said.

“No, not done already, just with his right hand! Here you come do his left!”

“Yeah,” Matthew said. “You don’t want Erin to have all the fun, do you?”

I sighed and took the nail polish from Erin. I had almost finished the final digit when I heard the whistle.

“Crap!” Erin and I shouted simultaneously. I almost splattered pink over the skin of Matthew’s fingers but caught myself.

“What’s wrong?” he asked.

“Mr. Howard just blew the whistle,” Erin said. “They’re all on their way back!”

“You mean the other girls?” he said nervously. We both nodded.

Then Clair walked in. Clair is the head cheerleader, and if I haven’t already mentioned diary she’s such a jerk. When she saw Matthew she screamed.

“What’s a boy doing in here?” she asked impatiently.

“It’s a long story,” Matthew said.

“Quiet! I was asking these two dweebs!”

“What do you want?” Erin said defiantly.

“We just wanted a place to talk, that’s all,” I said.

Hannah, another cheerleader, walked forward. “Looks like you were doing more than just talking,” she said, nodding towards Matthew’s pink nails.

“Oh these?” he said. “These nice girls just wanted to paint my nails. How could I decline?”

“Well, you still came into the girl’s locker room during class and without permission,” Clair said. “I think he needs to be taught a lesson.”

“Yes,” replied Hannah, who strutted behind Matthew and grabbed him by the arms.

“Wow you’re strong,” he muttered.

“What are you doing?” I shouted, half out of anger and half out of fear. Clair ignored me and chanted in a weird language. I glared at her until Erin tapped me on the shoulder and pointed to Matthew. He had lost a lot of his height; he was at least six inches taller than me but now appeared to meet me face to face. He looked around, confused, presumably because he was shrinking.

“This isn’t right,” Erin said, shocked. Next, Matthew’s face reshaped itself into a more feminine composition. His eyes widened and turned a beautiful emerald green. His lips puffed out and his nose became more pout.

His body seemed to become too small for his gym uniform, as his shirt now seemed to be too loose and his shorts fell off completely, revealing red boxers. Then came perhaps the most surprising thing: those boxers started shrinking, slowly becoming pink and running up the sides of his legs until they became a pair of pink panties that fit tight against his crotch.

Erin and I looked up in shock, and now Matthew’s blond hair had fallen long past his shoulders and down his back. Then we stared speechless at (his?) B-sized breasts.

Now Matthew looked nothing like a boy, instead she was a pretty teenage girl, just like us. Hannah let go of her and she stuttered forward. “What did you do to him?” I shouted in pure anger.

“You seemed so keen on painting his nails that I thought maybe he would enjoy it more like this,” Clair responded.

“You jerk!” Erin shouted. (Actually, she said something else, something I wouldn’t dare put in you, diary.)

“Actually,” said a voice none of us recognized. It was Matthew. “I kinda like this.”

“What?” everyone in the room shouted, Clair included.

“Well,” Matthew said. “Clair was right about one thing: I can totally rock these nails now!”

“And you’re not mad?” Erin asked her.

“Nah,” Matthew responded. “I figured it was time to make a change in my life anyway.”

Clair stormed to her locker furiously. “I’m sorry,” I said.

“Don’t be,” Matthew said.

“Matthew…”

“Call me Maggie,” she grinned.

“That’s gonna take some getting used to,” Erin said.

“Hey!” Maggie said. “I know! I overheard you two debating a movie night this weekend. Can I come?”

“Uh, sure…” I said.

“And then we can throw a sleepover! I’ve always wanted to know what happens at those!”

“Your thoughts, Erin?”

Erin shrugged. “Who knows? Could be fun, so why not!”

Maggie squealed in delight. It was weird hearing that, considering she was a boy just minutes before.

Either way, everyone besides the girls who were in the locker room, Maggie included, forgot about her past life as a boy. I wonder if she’ll ever change back. If she even wants to change back. Who knows? I am looking forward to this weekend though. Something is telling me it will be fun!
So here's another tg that I came up with. I thought about it for a while until I decided on a nameless female narrator watching the tg and telling the story from her perspective. I thought it was pretty unique. Anyway, tell me what you think! Comments are appreciated :)

That was pretty good! I'd like to know more about those witch cheerleaders though. The lore behind that must be interesting.
